Café Riche is somewhere to go when visiting Birgu and The Three Cities. Located at the entrance of one of the oldest and historical cities in Malta, it is situated just across the street from the “Malta at War Museum” and opposite the ‘Vittoriosa Bus Terminus’, thus making it an ideal venue to grab a snack and drink before you tour around Birgu.
Opening it’s doors in May 1933, Café Riche is nowadays one of the oldest entertainment venues in Malta and has been a part of many historical moments in Malta's history even surviving one of the world greatest wars.
Café Riche is a family run establishment with a friendly atmosphere, great fresh food and relaxing areas both indoors and outdoors where beautiful bougainvillea, comfortable seating and the cricket pitch next door create a bucolic image of Maltese village life.
Whatever the time or day Café Riche is a great place for a coffee, a snack or even a beer, especially on Tuesdays and Sundays for all those who have just popped by the local flea markets and need to relax.
Late at night Café Riche revives and is more like a club than a café Dancing under the stars takes place during the Summer Weekends offering friends and families hours of entertainment. A wide selection of music is played and everyone is invited to dance the night away to Ballroom, Latin, Sequence, Rock ‘n’ Roll and Country Line music. Everyone is welcome and the entrance is free.
Café Riche also have an event space available for hire, which is a perfect venue for celebrating any occasion… Birthdays, Holy Communion, Confirmations, Graduations and even Weddings or perhaps High Tea.
