Modern Bathrooms Ltd. could be called the pioneer in the importation of Live Fireplaces in Malta. Back in the early eighties, they ventured on starting off a new sideline to their already established business in the building material field.

They were appointed exclusive agents and importers for EdilKamin Spa, a world renowned brand from Milan. Although at the time Maltese homeowners never considered a live fireplace as an important feature, Modern Bathrooms marketed the idea of including such a feature in Maltese houses. After a slow start the idea spread like a wild fire and EdilKamin being the top manufacturer in its field soon became the number one name in Malta. At the point Il Camino was born and a new separate showroom was created to exhibit various models for fireplaces and barbeques.
