The first and only Surf shop on the island is based at Level 2, The Plaza Shopping Centre in Sliema, with another branch situated in Bugibba. The Plaza shop is where one finds the Technical division of the Surfstores with a wide selection of equipment always on hand for our clients to drool over.

We have a great selection of Surfwear, Mountainwear, Ski & Snowboard gear, Skatewear and all necessary hardware and accessories to make us one of the best board sports in Europe. Come in and have a look. Hundreds of ideas for presents and gifts to your kids, mates and last but not least yourself.

The first skateshop to open in Malta in the last 10 years. And by far the most successful. It is impossible to list the amount of equipment we have in stock. A range of at least 80 different decks always at hand. Trucks, bearings, grip tape galore. All the hardware to make any skater feel like a kid in a sweet shop. You have to see the range to believe it. Foreign skaters come to our shop and their jaws drop at our selection. Skater clothing, accessories, videos, DVDs, magazines and loads more!

A high percentage of entry level snowboarders get heavily disoriented when confronted by all different boards and bindings they find in the average shop. Why not trust in a combination that has been set up by people who are experts in this discipline, giving a performance guarantee?

Sick of wearing rented clothing and hiring equipment? Our Rip Curl mountain range is second to none as can be confirmed by all our snow sport customers. Whether it’s jackets, pants, gloves, polar beanies, ski socks… it’s the difference between enjoying your holiday on the slopes and well…hypothermia!

Added to these collections are also instruments that created this culture. Surfboards, boogie boards and now Kites and Kiteboards…with all the dressings. We keep a selection of wetsuits all year round. Like in all sports we promote we stock a wide range of hardware and accessories.

RECREATIONAL POWER KITES

What are Power Kites?
Flexifoil’s original power kite range is the deal way to get into power kiting. The original and still the best – this was the kite design that started the sport of power kiting. Easy to assemble and quick to learn, this should be your first choice if you just want to get out there, have fun and fly.
With a power kite you can try out loads of adrenaline-filled activities like skidding along the beach, getting big air, body surfing and more.
Flexifoil power kites are really versatile. You can fly them on their own and you can stack them together to generate even more power and lift. Build your own stack or join up with friends.

STING

The new Flexifoil Sting is a 4-line soft foil high performance kite for beginners who want a bit more of a challenge. The same amount of attention to detail has been paid to the aerodynamic performance and high quality materials used in its construction, as has been paid to our top of the range kites.
The kite also comes complete with high quality dyneema flying lines which are very important to ensure that the kite performs at its best. The Sting is simple to set up and is very portable and packs away into a compact stuff bag.
Four lines are more of a challenge to master than two lines as the flyer has the added dimension of the brake lines which can be used to exert maximum control over the kite. The Sting can achieve advanced maneuvers such as reverse launch, spinning the kite on its axis, regulating the turn rate, positioning and holding the kite anywhere in the window.

The kite is great for the more adventurous beginner or the flyer who is ultimately interested in moving on to traction kiting. These flyers can develop their skills on the Sting before moving on to the Bullet or Blade.

The kite comes complete with a wrist strap safety system which allows the flyer to let go of the controls if they get into difficulty, without losing the kite.
The size of the kite has been set at 1.2m2 in order to not be too intimidating or have too much power for the first time flyer. You'll love the Sting because of its pure fun factor and it’s a great first time kite which is guaranteed to give a great experience.
