Il-Grabja restaurant is situated in Xghajra limits of Zabbar. Opposite to the beach and the playing field too. We have opened for the very first time on the 31st December in 1994 and it was our launching where many were invited. This is the first and only restaurant founded in Xghajra.

Our aim is to provide good food with a good service, near the sea breeze in an excellent and quiet atmosphere.

We offer an a' la carte menu as also we provide set menus with special offers to staff parties. We accept also holy communion and confirmation parties too as bachelors and hens parties too.

We offer a fully air-conditioned restaurant with 120 seats and we provide about 7 tables also outside in the playing field so while parents are eating they can also look after their children playing.

Our staff of about 6 employees have all some experience in the catering industry and some have more than 10 years of experience too.

Our staff is always smiling and very friendly and very helpful when customers come to choose from our vast menu.

We give our staff all the training possible about hygiene and customer service too, so to be the best restaurant in the south of Malta.

We choose the best suppliers in Malta so to provide our customers a good quality product and when having a complaint we try to do our best to arrange the situation and learning from it too, because nobody is perfect but we try to give our best.

We offer Maltese food mainly but we have a variety of soups, salads, pasta, meat, fish, game and poultry, snacks and pizza too. We specialize in snails, rabbits and horsemeat as well.

Everything is made freshly everyday and it is very important to our customers.

We offer appetizers on Sunday morning like octopus, snails, meat, garlic bread and garlic mushroom and lots more.

So if you want to eat something without paying while drinking from our bar you can do so by visiting us and after you can go to swim too.

Prices are very low compared to our competitors and the prices are very cheap for the amount of food that we serve in one dish.

Open from Monday to Saturday from 6.30pm onwards. On Sunday from 10.00am to 2.00pm and from 6.30pm onwards.

Il-Grabja Take Away

We have always offered this service since the beginning of our operation of the restaurant in 1994, but after 2 years in summer of 1996 exactly we opened another outlet to make it easier to our customers to have a take away.

Customers wished to have a take away instead of sitting and relax, although they can do so outside also because we have tables in the playing field. They wished to have a take away because of the fast life we have although there is a required time so to serve food, because everything is done freshly at that time.

The take away this summer is also air-conditioned. Our staff is very friendly and the most important is that fresh food is done at that time. So to carry up this work we have 2 chef assistants in another separate kitchen from that of the restaurant.

Many of our customers are asking for delivery but since now we aren't offering this type of service but we might do so later on. But if one wants to order through the telephone one can do so.

The menu is very vast beginning with special pizzas fresh dough and there is a variety of pizzas to choose from. We can add ingredients on request too. Also we serve ham, fish or chicken burgers, chicken or fish nuggets, Cordon Bleu, fish and chicken and we have the take away specialities.

We have also some selection of chocolates and sweets, all types of drinks and wines also home made and ice creams too.

Il-Grabja Games Room

We have just opened this outlet this summer on the 1st of June. We haven't made any launching because our customers where asking to open it, and so we have done it all of a sudden after we had the planning authority permission obviously.

We have created this big room full of games and billiard too, with an extension to the take away, so if one is playing he can have a drink or a meal too at the same time.

There is a relaxed atmosphere because of the painting that we have chosen. So don't miss it!
