Welcome to Southport Villa & Gardens

Southport a late 19th century private residence has been converted into one of a kind catering complex including various outlets all with their personal identity. These include Leonardo – Fine Casual Dining Restaurant, Concept Cafe, Vino Lounge – Wine Bar, Flavors – Maltese Delicatessen and SouthportGardens – Multifunctional Venue.

During the restoration all authentic features were retained and the design is a blend of styles of classic and contemporary giving Southport a casual ambience in elegant surroundings. The concept is to provide a fusion of art, music and fine food. Southport is located right in the heart of Marsaxlokk, Malta’s main fishing village.

The Gardens

During the summer months Southport Gardens are transformed into an oasis. Secluded by greenery and surrounded by water features, the gardens offer a tranquil alternative to informal dining al fresco. The menu includes pizza, pasta and grills from the open bar-b-que while theme nights vary from Maltese festa to seafood extravaganza. Southport Gardens are definitely an alternative for hot summer nights! Private functions are also catered for. Special packages available.

Vino Lounge

Vino Lounge offers a chill out venue in a laid back atmosphere. The main lounge is classy in style with a relaxed setting while the garden terrace provides a feeling of tranquility secluded by greenery and water features.

Our cellar, also accessible to patrons, includes a vast selection of fine wines from around the world, a good selection of which is also available by the glass. To complement the wine list a food menu is also served and includes wine friendly nibbles, dips and platters.

Live music is on on most Fridays and varies from jazz to tribal.

Group bookings are also accepted.

Leonardo

Fine casual dining is situated on the first floor of Southport. The restaurant’s design is a fusion of classic and contemporary offering diners a casual atmosphere in chic surroundings. The dining room is elegantly set up in a minimalist scheme with the main feature being a replica fresco of Leonardo Da Vinci’s last supper. The open air terrace enjoys full views of the colourful fishing harbour in a more relaxed yet elegant style.

The cuisine combines a fusion of Mediterranean and local produce enhanced with touch of easterly flavours offering a refined taste to traditional food. The a la carte menu changes according to season and is prepared using the finest of seasonal ingredients ensuring a constant freshness. To complement the menu the wine list includes over 300 labels from new world, olde world and local vintages.

Leonardo is sure to provide an impeccable fine dining experience on any occasion.

Concept Café

Concept Café offers a menu that includes light snacks, pastries and refreshments in a relaxed atmosphere. Apart from the fixed menu a number of daily specials are also on offer including fresh fish and traditional local dishes.

One could enjoy a quick snack while watching the local scene or alternatively opt for the tranquility of the gardens which are open during the day.
